Though, it is possible that there is some degree of camaraderie between them, as they are shown to enjoy assisting Alastor with whatever menial task he has for them, and they are quick to stare down or attack anyone who offends their master, implying that might have grown to have been humbled by Alastor, though some could be more loyal to him than others. He simply calls them his "friends" as he does not want to offend them. Therefore, in order to pay off their debts, they become cursed and are enslaved by Alastor, transforming them into creatures of his design, and from that day forward must serve him until their debts are paid.ĭespite their names, they are decidedly not Alastor's friends, and the Radio Demon clearly holds a degree of contempt towards them for their sinfulness, implying that he specifically made a deal with and cursed them as vengeance for their wrongdoings. However, in doing so, they all end up giving Alastor exactly what he wanted and are unable to fully pay him back due to the sheer scale of their wrongdoings. After the deal was made, Alastor would grant their request and bestow them with extraordinary power, which they typically used to indulge in various sins and engaged in criminal and various depraved activates such as gambling, murder, destruction, and exacting revenge. The vast majority of Alastor's "friends" were previously violent sinners, criminals, and wannabe Overlords who, in the past, made a deal with the Radio Demon in exchange for immense power and/or wealth. It is unknown just how many of them there are, and the Radio Demon is capable of summoning hundreds, or possible thousands of them simply by tapping his cane on the ground. On their down time, they are typically seen getting into trouble or lurking around the Hazbin Hotel, or randomly terrorizing the denizens of Pentagram City. They are also seen with various weaponry such as knives, hatchets, maces, bats, and musical instruments. They appear to retain the powers Alastor gave them, and are capable of shapeshifting, teleporting, and manipulating fire, among other things. Dia seems to be more timid, empathic, docile, and vulnerable than Summer, displaying visible fear during Valentino's violent outbursts, contrasting with Summer's apparent love for their boss' violence.
